Today was a good day, as of today I have been married to the most wonderful and beautiful woman for fourteen years. When I think about the number of years we have been together I can't believe we have been married that long, it seems like only yesterday that I saw her for the first time and thought to myself, one day I'm going to marry that person. But on the other hand it seems as if we have been together for all of our lives, I guess that's because no part of life that doesn't have her in it is that important. I know that like most men I don't tell her enough how much I love her or how much I appreciate all the little things she does for me. She is the most loving wife and wonderfully mother any family could possibly hope to have, and I am truly a very lucky man to have one of the all time great marriages.

Future Election Tie Breaker

If this election is close as it appears to be, I hope that it's not decided in the courts for either candidate. I think that when the last ballot is cast tomorrow, if neither canidate has at least a two point lead and is the clear winner, then we should go to the Presidential Canidate Smack Down. With the popularity of reality TV, it would be huge. In fact Don King could come in and promote it on HBO PayPer View with all proceeds going to the National Debt and we all would win. We could even follow it up with a whole series, Colin Powell - Jacques Chirac Smack Down. Who knows where it could lead

I know that it's been a while since my last post; but after I re-read it I realized that I had created a dreaded October politiblog (aaaccckkk!)

After snapping out of my state of shock, I did the only thing that I could do. I called the nice men with the nice white jackets to take me away to the funny farm where I had a chance to recover from the obvious great lapse of mental capacity from which I was suffering.

I'm back now. I still have the mental lapses, but at least this wasn't a political post.

Voting responsibly

If it is so important to vote, then isn't even more important to know why you are voting? It amazes me that people will actually take part in picking our president and not even be able to tell you why they are voting for the person they are. If you asked ten people who John Kerry's running mate is, who is the Vice president now, who is Secretary of State, who is the Secretary of defense, and two specific reasons they are going to vote for the person they are. You would be surprised at the number of people that wouldn't be able to answer any of them correctly.

We put more time and effort in choosing a pet then we do choosing our president. The choices we make during the few minutes spent in that booth will effect all of our lives for years to come. The vast majority of the voters this year will go into the voting booth, and not even know who their choices for representative, and Senators are before they read them on the ballot.

If you think that voting is such an important right, then isn't it an even bigger resposabilaty to cast that vote with at least some knowlage of what you are voting for?
